There is a lot of buzz about ChatGPT and its impact on education. While some schools ban it due to fears of cheating and plagiarism, others believe it can enhance student learning and see it as a powerful teaching tool that can assist with tasks such as creating lesson plans, providing feedback, and relieving administrative burdens.

This practical workshop session is targeted at humanities staff members who haven’t yet had the time to actually set up an account. We provide guidance to demonstrate the promise and perils of working with ChatGPT. Through a series of exercises, we will explore and play with the chatbot. At the end of the session, we will discuss more broadly what this means for education and research.

A free lunch will be served during this workshop.
